PSC hosts ‘Teaching Arabic Language for Non-Arabic Speakers’

 

The Preparatory Studies Center (PSC) at UTAS- Shinas hosted a presentation on ‘The Experience of Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic language for Non- Arabic Speaker’ by Mr. Huzim Bin Mohammed Al-Manai from Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic Language to Non-Native Speakers, on 7th of November, 2024. Mr. Al-Manai's passion for teaching Arabic was evident throughout his presentation. His deep understanding of the challenges faced by non-native speakers was coupled with innovative solutions and effective teaching methodologies. The way he articulated the importance of cultural context in language learning truly resonated and highlighted the institute's commitment to a holistic educational approach. Moreover, the interactive elements he incorporated kept the audience engaged and made the learning process enjoyable. It was inspiring to see how the institute not only focuses on language proficiency but also on fostering a genuine appreciation for Arabic culture, in general, and Omani culture, in particular. The presentation reinforced the vital role institutions play in bridging cultural gaps and promoting linguistic diversity.
