Industrial Visit to Crowne Plaza Sohar – A Practical Learning Experience for Business Students

 

 

The Industrial Engagement Committee at the Department of Economics and Business Administration, organized an industrial visit to Crowne Plaza Sohar on October 7, 2025, as part of its experiential learning initiative. The visit was coordinated by Mr. Soofi Azizuddin Khusro, Lecturer and Industry Engagement Committee Member, along with Mr. Narsaiah.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Fathiya Al Mukhaini, Learning and Quality Manager at Crowne Plaza Sohar, who provided valuable insights into various aspects of hospitality operations such as customer service, front office management, and overall hotel administration.
Students from Sections 3 and 4 actively participated, observing real-time hotel operations and interacting with industry professionals. The visit helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, strengthening students’ understanding of workplace practices in the hospitality sector.
This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to industry engagement and student-centered learning, ensuring that graduates are better prepared for professional challenges in the dynamic business environment.
