UTAS-Shinas Students and Faculty Present AI Research at Prestigious International Conference

Students specializing in Accounting from the Business Administration Department at UTAS-Shinas, along with faculty members Dr. Shanmuga Pria and Ms. Iman Al Rubaiai, proudly presented their research paper titled "Adoption and Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Accounting Practices: Topic Modeling Insights from Oman’s Digital Transformation" at the esteemed 3rd International Conference on Banking, Finance, and Business (ICBFB 2025). The conference was held from April 22–24, 2025, at the College of Banking and Financial Studies, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

The paper was co-presented by three outstanding students: Rayyan Amur Nasser Alsaidi, Shahad Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Ansari, and Yaqeen Abdallah Said Al Siyabi. Their work explores the adoption and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within accounting practices, offering innovative insights into Oman’s ongoing digital transformation.

The acceptance and presentation of this paper at an international platform underscore UTAS-Shinas' strong commitment to academic excellence, research innovation, and the professional development of its faculty and students. Participation in this prestigious forum allowed the team to engage with leading experts, exchange ideas, and contribute to vital discussions on AI’s transformative impact on the accounting and finance sectors.

This achievement highlights Business Administration Department’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of research and to prepare its students for the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving digital economy.
