PSC lecturer holds workshop on “Mastering the Art of the Cover Letter”

The Preparatory Studies Center (PSC) at UTAS-Shinas, spearheaded by the Community Engagement Committee, organized a workshop focusing on “Mastering the Art of the Cover Letter” aimed at community graduates, alumni, and students on 16th May 2024, held at F-Building, UTAS-Shinas Campus.

English lecturer Mr. Basit Sultan Tanoli delivered the session. The event aimed to help job seekers craft compelling cover letters tailored to specific job applications.

Participants learned the importance of a well-written cover letter in the hiring process. Mr. Basit provided sample letters, tips on structuring cover letters, highlighting relevant skills, and making a strong first impression. Attendees left with increased confidence and practical tools for their job search.

PSC Head Ms. Amal Al Jahwari, and L1 Coordinator Dr. Hani Al Balushi, graced the occasion. They presented Mr. Basit with a certificate of appreciation for his invaluable contributions center.
