IT Department holds AI workshop

The Information Technology (IT) Department of UTAS- Shinas conducted a workshop entitled “Introducing AI Tools for Effective Academic Writing” on Tuesday, 22nd October 2024, at the university premise. The workshop focused on equipping participants with skills to leverage AI tools for effective academic writing. By exploring advanced tools like ChatPDF, Aspose AI, D-ID, Gemini and Gamma attendees gained hands-on experience in crafting structured, well-researched academic content. The workshop covered essential techniques for enhancing research, generating high-quality drafts, and refining writing with AI, providing participants with the knowledge to excel in academic writing. Attendees can apply these skills across a range of academic and research projects, enabling greater productivity and precision in their work. Mr. Rajesh R.K, IT faculty member, served as the resource speaker. Twenty-seven (27) staff members from the IT, Math and Networking sections attended the workshop. IT Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) organized and facilitated the workshop.
