DATA HACKATHON CHALLENGE 2025

 

4 UTAS-Shinas Students participates in Data Hackathon Challenge 2025 Muscat, Oman – Four bright students from UTAS-Shinas recently demonstrated their analytical prowess by participating in the highly competitive Data Hackathon Challenge 2025, an event organized by the Department of Supportive Requirements in UTAS-Muscat and sponsored by Casio, held on October 28, 2025. The students—Badar Albudoor Mohammed Ali Rashid Al Maamari (ID: 66S22181), Reema Ahmed Mohammed Al Badwawi (ID: 66S22142), of Advance Diploma, Probability and Statistics (IT), Mentor Dr. Mahesh Garvandha. Zahran Abdullah Hussien Zahran Al Shehi (ID: 62J21208), and Nasser Ali Nasser Al Matroushi (ID: 62J21103) of Bachelor, Probability and Statistics (Engineering) Mentor Dr. Santhosh Kalathil, represented the future of data science and analytics during the intensive competition. The participation was strongly supported by the university leadership under the Department of Supportive Requirements headed by Dr. Sulaiman Mohammed Saif AL-Risi, and the Head of Sciences and Mathematics Unit Mr. Deogracias Esteves Joaquin who accompanied the students and provided guidance throughout the entire Muscat trip and event.
