Provide high-quality education and training that will enhance the graduate's creativity, and logical capacity and enable him/her to communicate effectively and to be technically as well as aesthetically competent in the field of Architectural Engineering. To meet professional standards and to function in multidisciplinary teams as well as work independently, to produce simple and creative architectural design proposals and solutions.

 

The program also enables successful graduates intending to pursue higher studies-Advanced Diploma in Architectural Engineering.

 

 

The program should enable the students to:

 

  •  Understand and provide solutions for small-scale architectural projects, working individually as well as in a team in compliance with architectural standards.
  •  Apply architectural principles under the supervision of professionals to produce and interpret manual (2D and3D) and digital drawings (2D & 3D).
  •  Understand and apply the knowledge of Building Materials & Construction, Engineering Surveying, Architectural Graphics, and Vernacular Architecture.
  •  Demonstrate the ability to produce detailed digital and physical models.
  •  Acquire Architectural Knowledge to promote long-term learning towards higher studies/ On the JOB training.
  •  Explore and adapt to emerging technologies and skills in the field of Architectural Engineering.

 

The graduates will have the ability to:

 

  •  Function and Communicate individually as well as in multi-disciplinary teams.
  •  Acknowledge the ethical responsibility towards architectural standards.
  •  Have the knowledge of Vernacular and Contemporary issues relating to Architectural Engineering.
  •  Produce and interpret 2D and 3D architectural detail drawings, presentation drawings, and models.
  •  Apply knowledge of Building Materials & Construction, Engineering Surveying, Architectural Graphics, and Vernacular Architecture.
  •  Present and analyse design ideas/concepts verbally and visually for architectural design solutions.
  •  Produce creative, aesthetic, and functional architectural drawings (Plans, Elevations, Sections, etc.)
  •  Analyse the issues logically, rationally, and creatively for Architectural Projects.

 

Allotment to the Mechanical Engineering specialisation is based on the CGPA scored by the student in First Year Diploma. Requirements to progress to Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering:

 

  •  Secondary School to UTAS Entry Requirements (As per UTAS guidelines).
  •  Language Requirements (As per UTAS Bylaws and its latest Amendments).
  •  Level to Level CGPA requirements (As per the UTAS Bylaws and its latest Amendments).
