The objectives of the program are to:

 

  •  Demonstrate the specialised knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering technology, design and implement modern Electrical systems.
  •  Apply the technical and analytical skills in solving the complex problem, the design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  •  Take part in an active role in their profession exhibiting willingness to learn, practice, communicate effectively by adhering to professional and ethical responsibilities and understand the trends of electrical engineering technology.
  •  Extend their research skills through participation and training programs in electrical engineering technology.
  •  Demonstrate professional and ethical standards and work on to build entrepreneurial abilities with relevant guidance.
  •  Build proficiency to develop new skills in the field of Electrical Engineering.

 

The graduate will have the ability to:

 

  •  Demonstrate an acceptable mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills, tools and necessary softwares required for current Electrical Engineering technology environments.
  •  Apply knowledge of Science and Engineering technology to the performance analysis of Electrical engineering technology processes and systems.
  •  Experiment, evaluate, and interpret evidence to demonstrate command of the skills and principles that underpin knowledge.
  •  Show creativity and critical thinking in managing tasks and cost estimation related to recent electrical systems.
  •  Apply specialised problem-solving abilities necessary to work in multidisciplinary teams in electrical engineering technology environments.
  •  Adapt effective communication knowledge of Electrical engineering using latest information and communication technologies.

Allotment to the Electrical Engineering specialisation is based on the CGPA scored by the student in First Year Diploma. Requirements to progress to Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering:

 

  •  Students must complete a Diploma in Electrical Engineering successfully with CGPA ≥ 2.5 on a scale of 4.
  •  IELTS band Score ≥4.5 or the FDL Mark should be ≥ 64 (Reference: 1. MoMP Bylaws of College of Technology & its Amendments)
