Provide high-quality education and training in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering through relevant theoretical and practical courses designed for technologists, impart underpinning knowledge and skills to a high level of competence that will ensure workplace success, and facilitate the pursuit of higher studies.

 

 

The program should enable the students to:

 

  •  Demonstrate the specialised knowledge to design and implement modern Electronics and Communication systems.
  •  Apply the technical and/or analytical skills in solving complex problems, and the design, development, installation, management, operation, and maintenance of Electronics and Communication systems.
  •  Adapt advanced communication skills to disseminate information related to the field of Engineering and Technology.
  •  Develop managerial skills in teams and take responsibility in completing tasks by adhering to professional regulations and standards.
  •  Demonstrate professional and ethical standards in the workplace and build entrepreneurial abilities with limited guidance.
  •  Build proficiency to develop new skills in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

 

The graduates will have the ability to:

 

  •  Demonstrate an acceptable mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills, tools and necessary software required for current Electronics and Communication Engineering environments.
  •  Apply knowledge of: Science and Engineering to the performance analysis of Electronics and Communication Engineering processes and systems and Advanced subjects in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  •  Experiment with, evaluate, and interpret evidence to demonstrate command of the skills and principles that underpin knowledge.
  •  Show creativity and critical thinking in: Managing tasks related to current communication systems and subsystems and Demonstrating Research methods, integrating economic analysis and cost estimation techniques to maintain technical systems and communicate effectively.
  •  Apply specialised problem-solving abilities in complex and diverse Engineering environments.
  •  Plan tasks either independently or in teams with high levels of accountability and dedication to complete project-related duties within the timeframe.
  •  Utilise significant entrepreneurial abilities in the industrial and service sectors.

 

Allotment to the Electronics and Communication Engineering specialisation is based on the CGPA scored by the student in First Year Diploma. Requirements to progress to Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering:

 

  •  Students must complete a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering successfully with CGPA ≥ 2.5 on a scale of 4.
  •  IELTS band Score ≥4.5 or the FDL Mark should be ≥ 64.
