To produce competent graduates who are core members of teams responsible for successful project delivery and who apply their engineering skills to accurately evaluate construction projects in contribution to the national economy and social wellbeing while maintaining high ethical standards.

 

 

The program should enable the students to:

  •  Employ the latest industry-standard quantity surveying principles in professional environments including the latest tools, techniques and software programs common in local,regional and international practice.
  •  Communicate effectively in English in all relevant situations.

  •  Function independently and in a collaborative environment to ensure project success.
  •  Pursue training and higher studies to further develop their competencies.

 

The graduates will have the ability to:

 

  •  Apply the relevant ethical practices in their work.
  •  Analyse the drawings, specifications, construction materials, components,services, and processes commonly used in projects as well as the concept of load transfer in buildings.
  •  Develop bills of quantities for complex projects including relevant services and supporting works.
  •  Demonstrate an awareness of the contractual and management practices involved in construction projects.
  •  Show sufficient English competency to present technical ideas in their profession.
  •  Apply their organisation and time management skills.
  •  Work autonomously on tasks as well as part of a team.
