The Diploma program of Supply Chain & Logistics Management (SCLM) aims to broaden and sharpen students’ theoretical and practical capabilities for a wide range of job functions, industry requirements, and stakeholders’ expectations related to supply chain and logistics management.

 

It also aims to prepare the students for transformational leadership and sustainable development roles within the realm of supply chain, logistics and supply chain management.

 

This program hopes to be a highly specialized qualification that will drive supply chain and logistic experts and managers to be the key influencers in the industry and beyond.

 

 

This program aims to:

 

  •  Provide students with the knowledge, concepts, theories and skills needed to excel in SCLM disciplines, including procurement, purchasing and supply management, logistics management, transportation and distribution, project management, and pricing strategies, supply chain technologies, sustainability issues and legal environments, and supply chain & logistics risk analysis.
  •  Prepare students to take on future challenges in the areas of SCLM and create new synergies and opportunities across disciplines to meet the changing market expectations in both manufacturing and service sectors.
  •  Enable students to analyze SCLM decisions and demonstrate effective, efficient and creative management of value added activities within and across enterprises (i.e., procurement and supply, transportation, manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, delivery, distribution etc.)

 

On completion of the program, the student should be able to:

 

  •  Demonstrate mastery of concepts, theories, and principles in supply chain & logistics management and related areas.
  •  Apply new knowledge and capabilities required to build a global, long-term value-added, and sustainable logistics and supply chain that contributes strongly to the growth and development of organizations.
  •  Apply computer-based supply chain optimization tools including the use of selected supply chain & logistics software suites currently used in the industry.
  •  Choose and apply suitable, sophisticated, and advanced methodologies and strategies to design solutions for supply chain and logistics management problems.
  •  Build skills in problem identification, data analysis, and exploit those skills to enhance innovation and facilitate process optimization in the area of logistics and supply chain management.
  •  Display competence in interpersonal, intercultural, and cross-cultural communication as well as team-building dynamics for effective supply chain management and related areas.
  •  Lead supply chain and logistics enterprises with a high degree of efficiency, effectiveness, profitability, and sustainability.
  •  Utilize critical management skills such as negotiating, working effectively within a diverse business environment, and ethical decision making.
