College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA)

We are delighted to welcome you to our College of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences. This college is newly formed to fulfil the aspirations of the University and achieve its strategic goals in compliance with Oman Vision 2040.

The target set in the Oman Vision 2040, is for the University to be ranked in the top 300 in the ‎Quacquarelli Symonds University global ranking by the year 2030. In this regard, we are committed to continuing to strive to achieve such a target via enriching the pillars of Quality Audit and meeting the requirements of Institutional Standards Accreditation and Program Standards Accreditation of Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education.

The College of Economic and Business Administration’s Operational Plan will address all these facets to formalize the targets of the University Strategic Plan; ensuring the achievement of the identified targets as per the strategic priorities, and the Key Performance Indicators. We aim to ensure that our work is aligned with the core values of the University and that we can develop the Graduate Attributes in our students, to enhance their employability. The College will inject more efforts into entrepreneurship and encourage more start-ups to boost the national economic growth.

In the coming Academic year 2022-2023, the college will introduce 5 specializations which will be offered for three academic levels (Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Bachelor).

Furthermore, we will be upgrading our programs by initiating post-graduate programs shortly. We will be focusing on research and scholarly activities; thus, expecting wholehearted participation by the faculty in this endeavour.

As a part of its strategic goals, the College will be launching short courses and consultancy programs for the industry and community at large. The College will also start continuous professional development programs to enhance the skills base of the faculty as well as initiate training programs for the industry and community.

We hope and expect that all of you will continue to work with your usual commitment and dedication to contribute to the University in realising its vision.
