The UTAS-Sur holds a joint meeting with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority in South Sharqiyah

Within the framework of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences’ endeavors in Sur to open new horizons for cooperation with various entities that contribute to the development of the higher education sector, and in the field of supporting the entrepreneurship environment, which comes to enhance the development of the strategic partnership between the university and the business sector of governmental and private institutions, and to enable the small and medium enterprises sector to benefit from From the experiences and expertise available in various institutions.

The university held a joint meeting with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, in the presence of Dr. Rashid bin Nasser Al-Matani, Assistant President of the University in Sur, and Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Mukhaini, Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

          The meeting included a discussion of spreading the culture of entrepreneurship, prospects for cooperation to contribute to supporting entrepreneurs, as well as developing and highlighting students’ creative talents and ideas, promoting student companies, paying attention to marketing students’ ideas, and transforming their ideas and innovations into emerging companies.

It is worth noting that supporting students and developing their skills in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship are considered among the strategic priorities of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sur.
