
Founded in 1987 as School Teachers Institute Awarding Diploma in Education.
In 1995, upgraded to College of Education in the Royal Decree 42/95 awarding Bachelor in Education.
In 2005, the college of education stop offering its programs, and converted to College of applied Sciences –Sur awarding Bachelor degree in three Programs; Information Technology, Applied Biotechnology and Mass Communication.
In 2020, A royal decree issued to merge Colleges of Applied Sciences and Colleges of Technologies in one entity as University of Technology and Applied Sciences awarding 3 Degrees:
