Workshop on Designing Practical Assessments for Academic Staff

Program Committee of Applied Chemistry Section of the Department of Applied Sciences held a workshop on designing practical assessments for academic staff. The event was led by Dr. Wafa Al-Rawahi, the Section Head, and Dr. Widad Al-Rawahi, the coordinator. The workshop aimed to provide guidance on best practices for designing practical assessments that evaluate students' skills and knowledge effectively. Attendees were introduced to various modes of implementing practical assessments and ways to make it challenging, meaningful, and stress-free. The workshop was well-received, with attendees actively applying the best practices shared during the session in designing practical assessments for the current semester. They were keen to receive feedback and clarification from facilitators.
