Public Health Awareness Event

On November 25, 2024, the Preparatory Studies Centre hosted a Public Health Awareness Event, providing a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing among students and faculty in the field of pharmacy.

The event was organized as part of PSC-CECS by Dr. Faiza Al-Hasani, lecturer of the English for Pharmacy course, and featured 17 first-year pharmacy students presenting a wide range of topics related to mental and physical health. Topics included healthy brain, heart health, nutrition, antibiotics, immunizations, and more.

Students delivered engaging and informative presentations, which were followed by interactive discussions and the exchange of ideas with the audience. The event attracted a large turnout of staff and students, who actively participated and appreciated the efforts of the presenters.

The four-hour event concluded with positive feedback and encouraging remarks for the presenters. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the students by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for UTAS-Muscat, Dr. Ahmed Al Mamari
