Preparatory Study Center - Speak on the Spot

In an inter-collegiate competition “ Speak on the Spot”, conducted by Oman Tourism College, Muscat on Wednesday, 15th November, two students from UTAS-Muscat Preparatory Study Center bagged the First and Third positions. The Event Management Committee of the Preparatory Study Center mentored the students for the event. The competition was attended by 8 other colleges of Muscat. There were 14 participants who spoke on different topics for 4 minutes. Each one exhibited their best eloquence. The competition brought out quick thinking and oratory skills. They were judged on the criteria of content, relevance to the topic, structure and organization, body language & expressions, and time. Over all it was an enjoyable and a learning experience for the students. The two students showed great fervor and poise in their respective presentation. Both of them received great words of encouragement and appreciation from the audience and respected judges.
