Pharmacy Counselors Host Successful Workshop on Pharmaceutical Calculations

 

Muscat, Oman – On September 28, 2024, Pharmacy Counselors organized a workshop on "Pharmaceutical Calculations" at Oasis Knowledge in Al-Khoud, coinciding with World Pharmacists Day. The event brought together pharmacy students from various colleges across Oman, including a significant number of participants from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Muscat.

 

The workshop aimed to improve the calculation skills of pharmacy students, focusing on techniques essential for patient care and medication safety. The topic covered included oral drops, suspensions, and topical preparations such as creams and ointments, along with specialized sessions on insulin and inhaler dosage calculations.

 

Students are actively engaged in group activities and real-world case studies, applying their knowledge in practical settings. The interactive format received high praise, with participants expressing appreciation for the hands-on approach that helped bridge the gap between theory and practice.

 

The event concluded with positive feedback, particularly highlighting its role in equipping future pharmacists with vital skills needed in healthcare. Pharmacy Counselors reaffirmed their commitment to empowering students with the practical tools required for safe and effective pharmaceutical practice
