Business Studies Department’s Participation in the Future Universities Forum Program and the Training and Career Guidance Forum

 

Nominated lectures from Business Studies Department, attended the two days program on 1st. and 2nd of May 2023 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre - Madinat Al-Irfan, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The Future Universities Forum Program and the Training and Career Guidance Forum is an educational and professional event organized by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman.

It was aimed to enable higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman with technical tools and solutions that support digital transformation, change management and institutional innovation.  Also, it contributed to create the opportunities for cooperation and partnership between various local and international institutions in the fields of technology and education. More than 25 specialized international companies participated in the forum, and 19 working papers were presented the reviewed policies, strategies and laws related to digital transformation in the Sultanate of Oman, presented by a group of specialists from various government agencies, with the aim of transferring knowledge, experiences, and best practices and on how to implement them by digital transformation teams in the institutions of higher education.

Within the framework of the forum, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences is organizing a training and career guidance forum, which aims to develop university graduates' readiness for the labour market, equip them with future skills, enhance basic and advanced digital knowledge, and improve job-related skills. A group of private sector companies and employment platforms will participate in the forum, to inform students about available job opportunities, conduct job interviews, and provide professional advice.
