Business Studies Department - Workshop on Frameworks in HR Analytics

Overview: On the 11th of October, Dr. Arulsenthilkumar conducted an insightful workshop on "Frameworks in HR Analytics" for 22 HRM Bachelor level students currently enrolled in the HR Analytics course. The session was conducted via Microsoft Teams and proved to be an enriching experience for all participants.

Content of the Workshop:

1. Balanced Scorecard Explanation: Dr. Arulsenthilkumar explained the concept of the Balanced Scorecard, providing a comprehensive understanding of its components and importance in HR analytics.

2. Live Case Study Example: The workshop included a live case study example, offering practical insights into the application of Balanced Scorecard in real-world scenarios.

3. Four Perspectives of Balanced Scorecard: The four perspectives—Financial, Customer, Internal Business Processes, and Learning and Growth—were thoroughly discussed, emphasizing their significance in strategic HR management.

4. Strategic Mapping: Dr. Arulsenthilkumar provided clear explanations on strategic mapping, ensuring that participants understood how to apply the Balanced Scorecard framework strategically.

Participant Benefits: All 22 students who attended the workshop were awarded participant certificates, recognizing their engagement and dedication.

Post-Workshop Competition: In continuation of the workshop, Dr. Arulsenthilkumar announced a competition challenging students to prepare strategic mappings of the Balanced Scorecard. Seven groups, totaling 22 participants, enthusiastically participated in the competition.

Best Project Team: The following students were recognized as the Best Project Team for their outstanding strategic mapping:

· Al Waleed Khalid Al-jabri (11S15167)

· Al Mundhir Asim Al-balushi (12s17196)

· Faisal Abdul aziz Al-zadjali (11S17248)

These students were awarded Best Participant Certificates for their exceptional contributions to the competition.

Conclusion: The workshop and subsequent competition proved to be a valuable learning experience for the HR analytics students, providing them with practical insights into the application of frameworks like the Balanced Scorecard. Dr. Arulsenthilkumar's guidance and the active participation of the students made the event a resounding success.

This initiative not only enhanced the students' understanding of HR analytics but also encouraged them to apply their knowledge in a competitive setting, fostering a spirit of excellence and collaboration.
