Welcome to the English Language Curriculum and Assessment Unit at the Preparatory Studies Centre.
English plays a fundamental role in preparing students for successful academic study. Through our General English courses, we support students in developing the language and academic skills they need to progress confidently through their university studies.
Our English Language program develops students’ Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking skills, together with grammar, vocabulary, critical thinking, and academic study skills. Through three progressive levels—GE1, GE2, and GE3—students develop their English proficiency.
The unit is committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of English curriculum and assessment practices, ensuring that students receive the skills and support they need for academic success.
