Partnership and International Cooperation Department

Partnership and International Cooperation Department is responsible for establishing and managing institutional relationships between the university and academic and community institutions both within Oman and internationally, contributing to achieving the university’s vision, mission, and goals. Its duties include developing, implementing, and evaluating external cooperation strategies, addressing related challenges, drafting agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs), and monitoring their execution and outcomes. The department also organizes conferences and seminars, supports the university’s promotional activities locally and globally, and seeks to strengthen partnerships that benefit the university and various community sectors.

The department operates through two main sections:

  1. Partnership Section: Focuses on building and activating effective partnerships with community institutions and sectors locally, regionally, and internationally. This includes preparing and drafting agreements and MOUs, monitoring joint programs with higher education institutions and industry sectors, documenting all partnership programs, and proposing initiatives to involve the private sector and community institutions in the university’s strategies.
  2. International Cooperation Section: Responsible for enhancing the university’s international relations by proposing cooperation opportunities with universities and research institutions in friendly and sister countries, organizing official visits of the university president, preparing promotional plans for the university and its programs, drafting and following up on international agreements and MOUs, and acting as a liaison between the university and external academic bodies outside Oman.

The Partnership and International Cooperation Department contributes to strengthening the university’s presence locally and internationally by solidifying its relationships and expanding its academic and community cooperation, supporting strategic objectives, and enhancing the quality of its outputs.
