Quality Department
Quality Department is responsible for leading quality assurance and accreditation efforts across the university. It aims to foster a culture of excellence and innovation by promoting the best administrative and professional practices and ensuring the implementation of the most advanced academic and research work methods. The Department develops and implements the annual quality, and accreditation plans at both internal and external levels and monitors the compliance of various university units with approved standards. It also provides technical support and consultation to improve academic and administrative performance, develops policies, procedures and plans for quality assurance, the requirements of accreditation and listing academic qualifications, analyzes institutional data, contributes to strategic planning, proposes training programs, and enhances the quality of services provided. Additionally, it strengthens the university’s readiness for national and international academic accreditation and ensures the registration of qualifications in the National Register of Qualifications in collaboration with the Oman authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education. The Department operates through four specialized sections: Quality and Follow-up, Institutional Data Analysis, Institutional Accreditation and Proficiency, and Programs and Qualifications Listing. The Quality Department is also supported by Quality Assurance Sections in the branches — all working in synergy to achieve the highest standards of quality across the university.
