Participation of the UTAS-Sur in the Seventh International Conference on Advances in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology

The 7th International Conference on Advances in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology (ICABB) was held in Aksaray.

More than 14 countries from all over the world participated in the conference. From the Sultanate of Oman, the Department of Applied Biotechnology at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences participated in this international conference.

Assistant Professor Dr. Avneesh Parikh in the Department of Applied Biotechnology and his team of distinguished students, namely Al-Ayham bin Ahmed Al-Shuhaimi, Ahmed bin Jaber Al-Salmani, and Marwan bin Saleh Al-Hinai, shared their latest work on producing halal gelatin using fish industry waste.

The project presentation received great attention from scientists and researchers at the conference. The participation of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Tire in this international conference is evidence of the quality of education and academic scientific courses, and the capabilities of the university’s faculty, students and administrators, who encourage and guide students to participate in scientific forums.

It is worth noting that during the conference, the participating team visited various facilities and laboratories of Aksaray University on a tour around the university. They also discussed ideas and scientific research for joint cooperation.
