Welcome to the website of the Information Technology Department at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Sur branch (UTAS-SUR). This website acts as a platform for interaction, communication, and access to the most recent news, events, and updates.

IT Department offers students a top-notch educational experience that equips them to reach their best potential on the personal and professional fronts. We work hard to make improvements to our undergraduate curricula so that they better match the demands of today's students and companies. A substantial laboratory experiment is a feature of many of our courses, which enhances the educational process for the students. Project-based learning is used in a lot of courses. Students are also encouraged to seek TRC research fund for their projects. All students are required to do a business/organization internship before graduation.

The current IT Department curriculum is built upon the three pillars Cyber and Information Security, Software Engineering, and Network Computing. The curriculum includes many courses related to the different area such as:

We hope that you will find our website to be a valuable resource. We would like to extend a warm welcome once again to the UTAS-SUR IT department and look forward to working together to improve teaching and learning to new heights.
