Workshop on “Ver-5, Degree Audit”

The CEBA Muscat branch organized a workshop on “Ver-5, Degree Audit”. This workshop was presented by Dr Yousuf Al Bulushi,, Head of the Department of CEBA, Muscat Branch. The main theme of this workshop is to enrich knowledge among the lectures about the Ver -5, Degree Audit and to provide presentation to the first year Diploma students.  The Venue, Date and Time of the presentation is on the 16th of February 2023 at 8 AM to 10 AM at BS56.

Dr Yousuf started the session with the brief introduction about the Academic bylaws, its importance and its application to the new intake of Ver-5 students (2022-23). The following points were focused during the session.

•   The Academic bylaws are divided into 5 chapters.
•  Definition - Difference between the new bylaws and the old bylaws.
•  Study system in UTAS based on Academic bylaws.
•   Admission rules, Student Transfer and Change of Academic Program / Specializations.
•   Registration rules.
•   Academic Programs, Exams and Assessment.
•   Withdrawal criteria for fall / spring and summer semester.
•   Criteria for postponing courses.
•  Classification of GPA and details of academic probation.
•   Requirements for Graduation.

The session was informative and effective. Questions were raised by the faculties and the doubts are clarified. To conclude, Dr Yousuf presented the Academic bylaws in an effective way, this will enrich the knowledge among the faculties about the Ver-5, degree Audit.
