Field Visit to Ritz Carlton Al Bustan Palace on May 7, 2024

A field trip was conducted to Ritz Carlton Al Bustan Palace, a five-star hotel which is a franchisee of Marriot international. The hotel staff showed their facilities. The hotel is beautifully planned for luxury and accessibility.  It was a 250 rooms and suites hotel that reflected both local and modern influences. Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel was near the mountains and sea  as well which can be seen through their rooms and suites. It was the ideal location for travelers seeking both business and leisure alike.

The event was conducted to make the students understand the practical aspects of Hospitality which isa major  part of their curriculum in Introduction to Tourism and hospitality. Ms Safa Al Balushi The Learning and Development Director; Mr Ibrahim Al Balushi Operations Supervisor and Abdul Majeed Al Abddali Intern and Developing Intern assisted students throughout the trip. Later,

Ms Jihad al Harrasi and Dr Anupum Sharma along with 31 students from the course Introduction to tourism and Hospitality. The event was sponsored by UTAS and Ritz Carlton Al Bustan Palace. Apart from Punctuality and Commitment students had the practical exposure of Management of Amenities; Importance of Hospitality; Principles of Hospitality; Understanding the importance of Hotel industry in tourism;  the need to be presentable and the etiquettes to follow in the Hospitality industry

Ms Safa gave a very informative and interactive presentation to the students. Students clarified their doubts about the hospitality Industry. It was a very fruitful visit. She clarified many doubts of the students and explained them how to apply for the internship in the hospitality industry.
