CEBA Student Field Trip Program: To Royal Opera House Muscat

On 11 May 2023, a group of students from the Business Studies Department of the College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA) went on a field trip to the Royal Opera House Muscat. The students were enrolled in the course Introduction to Tourism, which aims to provide them with a comprehensive overview of the tourism industry and its various sectors. The objective of the field trip was to give the students an opportunity to have exposure and real experiences in one of the most prominent cultural attractions in Oman and to link the theoretical concepts to practice. The students were guided by a professional tour guide who explained the history, architecture, and functions of the Royal Opera House Muscat. The students also had a chance to watch a live performance of a classical opera and to interact with some of the performers and staff members. The field trip was a valuable learning experience for the students, as they gained insights into the cultural, economic, and social aspects of tourism and how they relate to their course topics.
