Awareness Program

The English Language Center, UTAS-Muscat conducted an Awareness Program for students on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023. The aim of this program is to orient new students about the facilities and student support system that is available at the English Language Center. The program was organized by the Event Management Committee of the ELC. The students were oriented about the Self-access Center (SAC), Free-access Lab, Student support services, various clubs, and competitions that would be conducted during the semester. This semester, the ELC will offer clubs such as Public speaking, Coffee talks, Book club, and Korean club. The faculty members responsible for the clubs explained the activities the clubs would organize during the semester. Apart from the students, the attendees at the event were Dr. Ahmed Al Mamari, Dean-UTAS-Muscat, Dr. Khalid Al Abri, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Mr. Talib Al Mahrouqi, Head of the IT Department, and Mr. Mohammed Al Kharusi, Director-ELC. Many students visited the stations and collected flyers pertaining to the facilities and also registered for clubs of their choice.
