The Research and Consultancy Team Organizing an Online Session on: Publishing in Reputable Journals

Registration Link

Abstract of the session: When I first submitted a manuscript to an academic journal as a master's student, I was clueless about how things worked; I thought my manuscript would be rapidly and easily accepted for publication and then I would move on to writing something else for a more prestigious journal. I was soon disabused of these notions. In this talk, as an author, reviewer, and former journal editor, I share some of my experiences of publishing, and speak about various misconceptions novices may have about publishing--as I had. There will be an extended Q&A session at the conclusion of the talk to allow you the opportunity to clear up anything about publishing in journals that I've neglected to cover. If it's of interest to the audience, I can also cover the question of whether you should try to publish your doctoral thesis as a book or as a series of journal articles.
