Welcome to the Department of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences–Muscat. My vision is to connect learning, research and professional practice, preparing students to turn knowledge into practical solutions and contribute to a changing economy.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how organisations work and make decisions. Across Business Administration, Marketing and Logistics, and Accounting and Finance, I place particular importance on developing students’ analytical thinking, digital capabilities and responsible use of AI. Understanding its opportunities, limitations and implications for people is essential to sound professional judgement.
I believe research should inform decisions, improve practice and address real organisational and societal needs. Collaboration with industry and public institutions can strengthen this connection, bringing relevant challenges into teaching and creating opportunities for students and faculty to apply their expertise.
My leadership approach centres on collaboration, clear responsibilities and evidence-informed improvement. Working with unit heads, committees and colleagues, I aim to support professional growth and an environment where ideas are welcomed and translated into meaningful action.
