The Information Technology Department is under the College of Computing and Information Sciences. The department provides programs that address market and industry demands.
Students will have a diverse and distinctive educational experience that places a strong focus on practical skills to increase their competitiveness and get them ready for a fast-paced future. Additionally, the programs enable students to solve problems using their knowledge of computer technology along with their reasoning skills, their ability to gather information, and their ability to effectively communicate their proposed solutions with a variety of audiences.
The department of information technology offers five main specializations: Software Engineering, Network Computing, Cyber and Information Security, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Information Systems. The programs are well-integrated with professional organizations like CISCO, Oracle, Microsoft, and other. They are also in line with organizations like ACM/Computing Curricula.
