Workshop on DCIS action plan preparation based on the branch operation plan

The DCIS - Nizwa Action Plan Workshop was organized by the Professional Development Committee - DCIS-Nizwa in coordination with Quality Assurance Department (QAD), UTAS - Nizwa DCIS, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Room A134. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Aruna Kumar Kavuru, DCIS QA Coordinator, SEDT, who has 19 years of experience at NCT and UTAS and a total of 25 years of teaching experience. The session focused on the preparation of the DCIS Action Plan in alignment with the Branch Operation Plan. Dr. Rolando Lontok, Senior Lecturer of DCIS also contributed his knowledge and experience in explaining the OAAAQA , the procedures for accreditation of UTAS as a whole. Dr. Maha AlAnqoudi the Head of teh department also attended the event and shared her views on different aspects. Ms. Alice Lontok the HoU of SEDT, and Dr. Mohammed Ambusaidi of HoU of NWCS also participated enthusiatically. Dr. Aruna Kumar Kavuru provided valuable insights into quality assurance practices and departmental planning. As an outcome of the workshop, the Department’s Action Plan for Fall 2025 was successfully prepared by 4 teams who were comprising of all the staff members. The event was moderated by Mrs. Sonia Soans, PDC-DCIS.
