UTAS Nizwa has around 6700 students including 27 international students from 16 different countries. It has four colleges and five academic departments and a preparatory studies centre covering a vast array of subjects and specialisations in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Mass Communication and Design. These support more than 18 specialised programs that are closely linked and systematically and continuously reviewed to align with the ever-changing local and global market.

We at UTAS Nizwa are committed to UTAS core values that centre on excellence in learning and teaching, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The university strives to reinforce experiential learning, employ innovative pedagogical approaches, and adopt robust and varied assessment tools. Our faculty members come from 21 countries with diverse backgrounds, qualifications, and educational experiences. UTAS-Nizwa affirms its commitment to the faculty members’ on-going growth and enhancement by diligently upholding the practice of continuous professional development. Hence, all that we promote and do stem from our pursuit of excellence: academic and intellectual.

UTAS-Nizwa aspires to be at the forefront in research. Students in UTAS-Nizwa work side-by-side with faculty members on research projects that are supported by targeted workshops, courses and advising. Student Projects, research and innovations are communicated using various channels ranging from local to international competitions and exhibitions and are continuously celebrated by UTAS and the outer communities. We give exceptional care and recognition to student research and innovations with the aim of nurturing graduates who possess the capacity to make substantial contributions to economic growth and job creation.

Besides its commitment to academic, research and intellectual excellence, student and faculty enhancement, UTAS-Nizwa is committed to contribute to the betterment of the outer community. Through the Department of Continuous Education and Community Service, UTAS-Nizwa offers an extensive range of programs that are meticulously designed to meet the needs of the community. We are committed to support individuals, and institutions in various arenas and work hand in hand with the community to contribute to the capacity building of its individuals and eventually the growth and prosperity of the Omani economy.
