CEBA Conducts Workshop on Advanced Statistical Analysis

Under the guidance of the University Assistant Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mohammed Al Mamari, and the leadership of the CEBA Head of Department, Dr. Mohammed Ali Ahmed Obaid, the College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA) continues to strengthen its teaching, learning, and research capabilities.
As part of this commitment, CEBA organized a two-hour workshop on advanced statistical analysis to enhance faculty members’ research writing skills. The program featured two sessions designed to build both foundational and advanced competencies. The workshop was attended by more than 20 faculty members of CEBA and was held at FB 201, UTAS- South Campus.
In the first session, Mr. Ramesh Krishna of the Business Administration section, introduced participants to Jamovi, an open-source application for statistical analysis. Mr. Ramesh guided attendees on how to navigate and utilize the software for data analysis.
The second session, facilitated by Dr. Muhammed Tahir, focused on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) — a second-generation statistical analysis technique widely used in research. Participants gained hands-on experience in applying SEM to strengthen their analytical and research skills.
This workshop was a joint initiative of the Personnel Development Program Committee and the CEBA Research Committee, reflecting CEBA’s continuous effort to promote professional growth and research excellence among its faculty members.
