UTAS–Nizwa Faculty Serves as Resource Person at International Workshop on AI and IoT Technologies

Dr. Jehan Murugadhas, served as a Resource Person at the two-day International Workshop on “AI and IoT: Revolution of the Smart World”, held on 20–21 January 2026 at Nirmala College for Women, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The event was exceptionally well organized and provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and in-depth discussions, benefiting young researchers, faculty members, and IT professionals.
On the first day, the keynote address titled “AI and IoT: Revolution of the Smart World” highlighted the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things in building intelligent systems and smart environments. The session also featured hands-on demonstrations of IoT-based applications, including Smart Home and Smart Irrigation Systems, with a focus on practical implementation and innovation.
The second day emphasized practical, real-time applications through interactive sessions on projects such as an Air Pollution Monitoring System and Smart Gardening using a Soil Moisture Sensor and Servo Motor. Detailed explanations of circuit design were provided, along with a live demonstration of a real-time project developed using a Photo Resistor (Light Sensor), Arduino Uno, and lighting components.
The workshop marked a significant professional milestone, offering an enriching opportunity to contribute to an international academic forum and to engage with fellow academicians and researchers in advancing innovation in AI and IoT technologies.
