Department of Engineering, UTAS–Nizwa Hosts Specialized Training Workshop by Petroleum Development Oman

The Department of Engineering at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences - Nizwa is pleased to host a specialized training workshop organized by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). The workshop is designed for Electrical Engineering students and focused on the protection of electrical systems and equipment using modern industry-standard technologies. Scheduled from 9 to 13 November 2025, the week-long workshop involved 36 students from the University branches Nizwa and Ibri, as well as the Nizwa University, alongside six academic and support staff members.

This workshop aims to strengthen academic collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange between educational and operational institutions, and provide a hands-on learning experience that enhances students’ technical skills and prepares them for careers in the field of Electrical Engineering.

يستضيف قسم الهندسة بجامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية بنزوى ورشةً تدريبية متخصصة تقدمها شركة تنمية نفط عُمان، تستهدف طلبة تخصص الهندسة الكهربائية، وتركّز على حماية الأجهزة والأنظمة الكهربائية باستخدام أحدث التقنيات المعتمدة في هذا المجال.

تُقام الورشة خلال الفترة من 9 إلى 13 نوفمبر 2025 ولمدة أسبوع كامل، بمشاركة 36 طالبًا وطالبة من فرع الجامعة بنزوى وفرع الجامعة بعبري وجامعة نزوى، إلى جانب 6 من أعضاء الهيئة الأكاديمية والهيئة الأكاديمية المساعدة

وتهدف هذه الورشة إلى تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي وتبادل الخبرات بين مختلف المؤسسات التعليمية والتشغيلية، بالإضافة إلى توفير تجربة تدريبية عملية تُسهم في تنمية مهارات الطلبة ورفع كفاءتهم وتأهيلهم لسوق العمل في مجال الهندسة الكهربائية.
