Deanship of Scientific Research and Consultation

The Deanship of Research and Consultation is responsible for contributing to the preparation of the University's Strategic Plan. It prepares an annual working plan, follows up on its implementation, and submits reports on achievements. The Deanship ensures the implementation of quality standards in its divisions and proposes their development. It follows up and implements research programs and approved research proposals at the University, examines final reports of research projects, and submits proposals to develop rules, regulations, and policies related to research and consultation. The Deanship contributes to developing performance indicators to support research empowerment and consultation, raising the efficiency of research and consultation services at the University. It supports research and development according to national priorities, innovation indicators, and global competitiveness, and finds various research funding sources. The Deanship supervises the promotion of local, regional, and international research partnerships with industry and technology sectors, follows up on evaluation procedures of research projects, and holds scientific conferences and seminars in coordination with concerned entities. It follows up on sabbatical procedures and academic promotions, coordinates with University divisions to provide periodicals and references to support research diversity, and supervises the issuance, publishing, and distribution of the University's scientific periodicals.

The Deanship also supervises the development of executive plans for consultations and their programs at the University, directing them to serve economic development and sustainable development objectives. It promotes consultations in sectors supporting economic diversification, makes the University's consulting capabilities known, and raises awareness about consulting activities. The Deanship develops knowledge and consulting investment, directing it according to sectors of national priorities and their approved indicators.

It prepares databases related to consultation services, research, and scientific publishing, providing reports, statistics, and indicators in this regard. The Deanship proposes and implements professional development programs for its employees in coordination with competent entities and undertakes any other duties within its competence.
