Introduction to Fusion 360

The Engineering Department's Professional Development Committee, in collaboration with UTAs-Nizwa's Human Resource Department, organized a training session titled "Introduction to Fusion 360" on October 31, 2024. The HoS of the M&I section of the engineering department, Dr. Sabareesan, gave a welcome address to commence off the session. Mr. Munther Moosa Saif Al Tubi of the engineering department of UTAS-Nizawa (north campus) provides the training session. Passionate educators from UTAS-Nizwa's Mechanical and Industrial section took part in a training workshop about Fusion 360.

Fusion 360 is ideally suited to mechanical modelling and includes solid modelling and free-form tools. It includes tools for simulation, animation CAM, and blueprint mode. It is a popular program for CNC, industrial design, engineering, and 3D printing. The speaker introduced the Autodesk Fusion 360, which connects the entire manufacturing process by merging CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB into a single solution that allows you to design and manufacture anything. The training session covered how to generate 2D sketches, modify commands, create solid features, and import key components. More than 20 staff members participated in this session. The training program was highly informative and tailored to the requirements of all participants.
