Engineering Department Organized First Research Forum Session at UTAS-Nizwa

The Engineering Department at UTAS-Nizwa successfully organized its first session of the Engineering Department Research Forum (EDRF) on May 21, 2025, at Adam Hall, North Campus. The event aimed to foster a dynamic research culture among faculty members and provide a collaborative platform for interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and innovation.
The forum commenced with a warm welcome by the research coordinator Engineering Department Dr. Muhammad Khurram. The Head of the Engineering Department, Dr. Wisam Fahmi Ibrahim Al-Azzo, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of research engagement and academic collaboration in achieving the university’s strategic goals.
Three distinguished speakers shared their ongoing research and insights during the session:

At the end of the session, all speakers were presented with certificates of appreciation and souvenirs, acknowledging their valuable contributions by the Head of the Department and the Head of the Units. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Dr. Muhammad Khurram, expressing gratitude to the speakers, organizing team, and all attendees for making the event a success.
The Engineering Department aims to continue this initiative with more sessions in the upcoming semesters to sustain momentum and encourage broader participation in research activities.
