The MSc in Digital Transformation and Innovation program aims to produce graduates who possess a comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge digital technologies, enabling them to strategically drive organizational transformation. The program focuses on developing future leaders who are equipped with a global perspective, integrating business and technology to spearhead digital transformation initiatives.

Upon successful completion of this program, a student should be able to:

 

  1.  Evaluate organizational readiness for digital transformation by applying the principles of digital transformation strategies, technologies, and processes along with a grasp of business concepts.
  2.  Formulate appropriate strategies and viable solutions for real-world problems associated with digital transformation in diverse industries using business frontier technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Block Chain Technologies.
  3.  Integrate research methodology with project management, facilitating data-driven decision-making and the effective implementation of digital transformation projects.
  4.  Demonstrate advanced soft skills required for the diverse work environment, including progressive communication, effective teamwork, ethical and legal implications in digital transformation initiatives, and professional conduct.
  5.  Illustrate the principles, technologies, and best practices governing digital communication and cyber security.
  6.  Analyze change management principles and methodologies and enabling them to effectively lead digital transformation, simplify and enhance business processes, fostering adaptability and resilience within organizations.

 

Based on the bylaw in addition to the following requirements:

  1.  A bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (or its equivalent).
  2.  Students from other backgrounds can join after finishing the bridging courses.
  3.  A minimum of 2 years of work experience is required, not necessarily in digital transformation.
  4.  Updated resume/CV.
  5.  English language proficiency, demonstrated by an IELTS score of 6 or an equivalent. Students are exempt from this requirement if their university-level studies were conducted in English.
  6.  Applicants who are employed must provide a letter of approval from their employers.
  7.  An interview may be required as part of the admissions process

This course is designed to influence learners to engage in entrepreneurial ventures that are anchored on the various opportunities, trends and developments that digital innovation creates. It opens by explaining the drivers, urgency and impact of the digital era on Industry 4.0 and how paradigm shifts in the way entrepreneurial endeavors are carried out by successful enterprises from the turn of the millennium and beyond. Contemporary and emerging digitally-driven business models are also presented with the end in view of motivating learners to develop digitally-influenced entrepreneurial mindset that can eventually make them leaders in the digital transformation of the economy.

This course focuses on the process of implementing change as the key facet and fundamental challenge in managing organizational change. It addresses change management in organizations in the digital era, laying impetus on issues such as achieving strategic objectives through the immersion of digital technologies on business processes, implementation of digital applications on business tactics and operational procedures, in place of non-digital approaches to strategies, tactics and techniques in business. Ultimately, the course will guide student in implementing digital change within an organization through the adoption of new technologies in strategic planning, leadership, management of organizational culture.
