An Industrial Visit to Dhofar Foods & Investment (SAOG)– 05 Mar 2024

The Information Technology Department's "Industrial Visits Unit" organized a visit to Dhofar Foods & Investment (SAOG) on March 05, 2024, spanning from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM. Supervised by Dr. Ujjwal Agarwal, Dr. Wasim Haider and staff of Multimedia Section, a cohort of 11 IT Department students explored the organization during the excursion. The agenda encompassed the ensuing segments:

Upon arrival, Mr. Ali Ahmed Mahad Kashoob (Information System Engineer) and Mr. Firas Saleh Al Amri (HR Administrative Officer) extended a warm welcome to the students and faculty. The visit unfolded in three parts: initially, the QA department elucidated various aspects such as products, company policies, and organizational structure. Subsequently, Mr. Ali Ahmed Mahad Kashoob delved into the technologies employed within the company, highlighting career opportunities and the significance of OJT training for the students. Finally, the students were afforded the opportunity to tour the IT department and the company's server room.

This industrial visit served as a distinctive platform for students to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom instruction and practical learning in a real-world setting. Overall, it provided a captivating glimpse into industrial operations and proved to be an invaluable learning experience.
