Welcome to the Preparatory Studies Center (PSC), the largest teaching and learning center at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Salalah. The PSC is comprised of three units and primarily offers English Language, Mathematics, Computing, and General Requirements courses for students entering specializations within the post-foundation academic departments.
Students at the PSC are expected to actively participate in the learning process, seek knowledge and apply acquired information in new situations. They are also encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities, which will prove advantageous for their future employment.
Within the Center, students are encouraged to allocate time for self-directed learning by making the most of the Center's educational resources, such as the Writing Centre, Self-Access Centers, and Free Access Labs. These facilities enable independent learning programs and the completion of homework and assignments.
