ISACA is an international professional association spotlight on IT governance. ISACA Strengthen the students to become professionals with the knowledge, testimonials, education and community awareness to increase their work ability and transform themselves and their organizations. ISACA help business technology professionals and their enterprises around the world realize the positive potential of technology. ISACA has more than 520,000 engaged professionals, 130,000+ members, ISACA leverages their expertise in information/cyber security, governance, assurance, risk, innovation and enterprise performance. Since its inception, ISACA has become a pace-setting global organization for information governance, control, security and audit professionals. ISACA has a presence in 188 countries, including 217 chapters worldwide. Muscat is one such chapter and College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) is its sponsor which is affiliated to the Central Bank of Oman.

About ISACA Student Group at ISG-SLL

 

The ISACA Student Group at ISG-SLL was founded by a dedicated team of volunteers passionate about Information Technology and Information Security governance. Guided by our motto—Quality Technology Education, Innovation, Sustainability, and Continuous Professional Development—we aim to empower students and staff to become future leaders in the technology field.

We are officially endorsed by ISACA International and proudly supported by the ISACA Muscat Chapter.

 

Our aim is to provide every enrolled student member at ISG-SLL with:

  • Clearer career pathways in high-demand areas such as: Cybersecurity, Information Security and Assurance, IT Risk Management, Network Auditing, Information Systems.
  • Meaningful networking opportunities with professionals and peers
  • Access to resources that support lifelong learning and professional growth

By joining our group, students gain valuable insights, practical knowledge, and connections that prepare them for successful careers in the ever-evolving world of technology and governance.

 

Mission

  1. Facilitate a value through various services, such as research, information, education, certification, and professional advocacy.
  2. Develop relationships and a channel of communication between member students and industry professionals working in relevant fields.
  3. Supplement classroom learning with greater career insight by inviting guest speakers and by interacting with professionals at events organized in accordance with ISACA Muscat Chapter.
  4. Raise the visibility of information security amongst both students and prospective employers.
  5. It provides members with similar career interests and the opportunity to build network with fellow students.
