UTAS-A Orients Specialization Students on University System

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al-Musannah (UTAS-A) conducted an orientation session on October 3, 2023, for 470 diploma students from various scientific and applied specializations. In this event titled "Your Specialization, Excitement, and Enthusiasm", the university administration outlined the university’s academic and administrative regulations of the university. Moreover, the students were introduced to the university's facilities, centers, units, specializations, and system to help them easily navigate their university life and enhance their academic and professional skills, enabling them to enter the job market confidently. Additionally, motivational and interactive sessions were conducted where the speakers emphasized the university`s role in supporting students from the moment they set foot on campus until they graduate.
During the program, the speakers also highlighted some student support services that can provide guidance for them to pursue their university journey successfully.
Various sections within the university's administrative and academic departments were present at the event to actively engage and respond to the diploma students' inquiries. These departments play an integral role in helping students map out their academic paths, clearly understand their journey before choosing their specializations, and be proactive and participative.
Dr. Nihad Abdullah Al Zadjali, Deputy Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, commented on this event, "The concept of organizing the Orientation Day for specializations is to create a connection between the university and the students. This event, along with other academic activities, motivates students to put in more effort and dedication in their classrooms. It allows students to become closely acquainted with various specializations." She added, "The university serves as an excellent platform to discover student talents and creativity through extracurricular activities and events that refine students' skills and guide them towards the requirements of the future."
