About UTAS-Talks:

UTAS-Talks is an annual English public speaking competition organized by the Preparatory Studies Centre at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Mussanah. The competition brings together Preparatory Studies students from UTAS branches across the Sultanate, offering them a platform to share ideas, express perspectives, and develop confidence in using English effectively. Through carefully crafted speeches on themes such as innovation, culture, personal growth, sustainability, and student life, participants demonstrate their awareness of contemporary issues and their ability to communicate with clarity and impact. UTAS-Talks aim to promote academic excellence, creativity, and personal expression and to nurture a new generation of articulate, thoughtful, and empowered student voices.
