The Network and Information Security Department (NISD) is responsible for the university's Information and Learning Technology Services (ILTS), the department ensures that all the required IT Infrastructure is readily available to all stakeholders.
The NISD’s primary responsibilities include implementing robust cybersecurity measures to defend against potential threats and vulnerabilities. This includes managing network security to ensure optimal performance while protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access and breaches. The department is also tasked with maintaining data protection and privacy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Additionally, the department provides security awareness training to educate the stakeholders on best practices and emerging threats, promoting a security-conscious culture throughout the organization.
