Scholarships for UTAS Non-Omani Employees' Children to
the University of Technology and Applied Sciences
In appreciation of the role of non-Omani employees residing in the Sultanate, and to enhance the educational opportunities for their children, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences offers several partial scholarships to outstanding children of non-Omani employees. These scholarships include exemption from tuition fees only, without the university bearing any other burdens, according to the following conditions:
General Conditions:
1. The applicant must be a child of a non-Omani employee at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences.
2. The applicant's guardian must be working full-time at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences.
3. The applicant must have a recent General Education Diploma or its equivalent from within the Sultanate of Oman for the current academic year.
4. Applicants with international qualifications must have their certificates equivalized by the Ministry of Education before applying.
5. The applicant must meet all the admission requirements of the program they wish to enroll in.
Selection Criteria:
Applicants are selected based on their General Education Diploma or its equivalent, in addition to their level of English proficiency. In case of equal competitive rates, priority is given to the children of senior employees.
General Provisions:
1. The university reserves the right to amend or cancel these regulations at any time without prior notice.
2. The student is subject to all the rules and regulations in force at the university and must adhere to them.
3. The student retains their scholarship seat in case their guardian loses their job at the university.
4. The university has the right to withdraw the scholarship if the student enrolls in the cultural and scientific cooperation program offered by the Ministry of Higher Education and Innovation through the Unified Admission Center.
Application Method:
Applications for the University of Technology and Applied Sciences scholarships for non-Omani employees are submitted electronically through the HEAC according to the applicable conditions and regulations, and competitively, with all documents attached in PDF format.
Required Documents:
1. A copy of the General Education Diploma or its equivalent.
2. A copy of the equivalency certificate if the applicant has an international qualification.
3. A copy of the applicant's and guardian's passports.
4. A copy of the guardian's employment contract.
