Guest Lecture on Health and Safety Aspects in a Machine Shop

The Mechanical Engineering Health and Safety Committee organized a guest lecture on “Health and Safety Aspects in a Machine Shop” on 10 March 2024 for diploma and advanced diploma students. The lecture focused on the importance of critical aspects of health and safety within a machine shop environment. This initiative aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and practices for maintaining a safe working environment in industrial settings.

A total of 37 students actively participated in the event, demonstrating a keen interest in enhancing their understanding of health and safety protocols. Throughout the lecture, attendees engaged in insightful discussions, explored case studies, and gained practical insights into identifying and mitigating potential hazards commonly encountered within machine shop environments.
