Workshop on Mobile Journalism

The Department of Mass Communication at UTAS organized a Workshop on Mobile Journalism (MoJo) to enhance students’ practical media skills.

Conducted by Ms. Hadia Khalil, the session introduced students to the basics of planning, shooting, and editing short news stories using smartphones. Participants learned essential tools, video composition, and mobile editing techniques.

Students also joined a campus photo walk titled “Campus in My Eye”, where they captured visuals and produced short video features. The activity promoted creative storytelling and highlighted the department’s commitment to innovation, hands-on learning, and digital media literacy.
